project 365 day 27

I just love this picture! We were taking pictures of Tabitha to enter into the Regis and Kelly beautiful baby contest and this is one of the ones we got during that little impromptu shoot.

this video is from the same night, She just loves to get into anything she can, and some of her new favorite places to explore are granny's work room and the library. That night she figured out how to turn on the computer in the library, then she turned it off, and on, and off and on. I'm pretty sure the computer was not happy in the morning.

Project 365 day 26

So Tabitha got to try something new, we had to go to the store and to Joann's and when we went it was nice out but when we came out it was pouring, and of course, I had parked far away because there were no close parking spaces, and we were both just wearing thin sweaters, becasue it had been sunny. So I walked us over to Panda Express and got some lunch, (it was the only place to go under the awning from Joann's). Tabitha is still giving me grief when i try to feed her, so i put some on a plate for her and let her feed herself. She loved the cooked carrots, celery, and broccoli, She also liked the mushroom chicken (i didn't give her any mushrooms though), and the white rice. She loved the piece of fortune cookie I gave her as well.

Later that evening after we got home, she found Dawn's scarf, and it has become one of her favorite toys, she caries it around with her everywhere and puts it on herself or me. She's really starting to develop a strong personality and its so interesting to get to know her.

project 365 day 25

better late than never!
So here's our little walker! She's getting so good at walking, she still prefers crawling, its faster, but she tries really hard to walk a lot. this was her after she tried to walk over to granny and see the kitty, however the kitty was scared because uncle trent decided it would be a good idea to turn on the dog wisperer when the cat was in the house, needless to say the cat was a little freaked by the very loud barking pit bull on tv. Tabitha was very interested in the dog on tv, and seemed to have forgotten all about the kitty.

Project 365 day 24

Ah the awesome bed head! She really doesn't like early church, we forced her to get up at 8:20 this morning, and she was not amused.

The clothes hoarder
Tabitha managed to pull any clothes she could reach from the bed out of boxes and hampers and put them all around her, then she started piling them up on her and laughing hysterically. It was so funny!
She's getting the top 4 teeth right now, the outside two broke through about a week ago and they are slowly making there way down, the top right tooth broke through on Friday morning, and the top left tooth is starting to show through. She's going through these terrible mood swings because of it, and all she wants is mommy to hold her, which i think is a little hard on morgen, he wants to hold her and comfort her, and she hits him and cries and holds out her arms for me. Hopefully her mouth will stop hurting soon and she'll be back to her super happy self, who loves her dada very much. She's getting really good at saying mama and dada, although she points to my chest licks her lips and says mama now. well at least she's not only saying it when she's crying now.

Project 365 day 23

So Saturday was not a good day for us. Somehow morgen forgot to submit his SJSU application, even though it was finished, and now he has yet again missed the deadline to apply. So he spent Saturday scrambling to find a way to go to school in the fall since he has taken way to many units at the JC and really can't take anything else. He has to do a petition to BYUI and He's waiting to hear back from BYU, he is also looking at spring for UC Santa Cruz, and if SJSU offers any spring admittance, which isn't likely since they didn't this year due to budget cuts, he'll apply there. So needless to say there was some major stress around the house that day. Late in the afternoon, I took Morgen over to get his hair cut. I was tired of him looking like a chick, and they did a good job. I forgot to take any pictures on Saturday, which is weird because I take pictures everyday. But While I was uploading the pictures I took friday and today, I found some super cute pictures of Tabitha from June. I haden't gotten them off my camera since my battery was dead and I couldn't find the cord, so I'll share with you some cute old school Tabitha. =)

My child has awesome bedhead (more of that for tomorrows post!)

She still makes that super cute face when she sleeps!

Watch out she'll take your nose off!

project 365 day 22

I had to take moregn to work on friday and Tabitha was still asleep. Morgen's mom said she would watch her and when i got home Tabitha had woken up and dawn was making her some oatmeal. but tabitha has only had baby oatmeal, and she did not like it, dawn tried to mix it with prunes which tabitha loves but she was not having it.
This was Tabitha looking at me like what have i done to deserve this? Needless to say dawn was eating some oatmeal for breakfast that morning. Its not all that surprising, Tabitha's tastes have seemed to mirror Morgen and mine. I was eating some spicy pretzle thins and she kept trying to take it, so i figured I would let her taste it, and she would end up not liking it because its spicy, well no, she licked it, then licked it again, then shoved it in her mouth and grabbed for another one. As for the oatmeal, neather morgen nor I like oatmeal unless its in a cookie! =) (which by the way she likes too, Morgen was eating an oatmeal raisin cookie, and she threw a little fit till he gave her some, she loved it.)

Project 365 day 21

Tabitha is growing up so fast, she really gets annoyed if I try to feed her baby food anymore, she wants to feed herself everything these days.
Not much to say abput this picture just thought it was super cute.

Project 365 day 20

Here is a cute video of Tabitha playing, She's getting really god at standing, not so much at the walking yet, she has taken a few steps, but I never get her on camera, I will one of these days!

Project 365 day 19

So for this post I decided to do a video instead of a picture. This is from dinner the other night. Tabitha has started branching out in what she eats, she's really good about trying new foods. This night we gave her some of the cooked vegitables and ground turkey from the soup I made for dinner. She seemed to like it, however she seemed a bit annoyed that all conversation was not about her, and was very vocal about the fact that she is the only person in the room worth talking to or about.

radom

I totally forgot, I wanted to share this. Two weekends ago morgen called his uncle and asked if they wanted to skype. So we set up a time and then had dinner. Well apparently during the time between the call and the time we skyped they had decided that we must want to skype them to tell them we were expecting again! Seriously? T's only 9 months, I want another one but not that soon! I thought It was funny, but forgot to post about it.
Although funily enough, since then, I have become so baby hungry, Morgen and I agreed that it would be best to wait 2 years especially since I had a c-section, but I can't help wanting another one. Until then, I have my hands full with Tabitha, who wants to be into everything all the time! I love her, but man she is really teaching me a lesson in patience, and I wouldn't trade even the worst days for anything in the world.

Easy Taco Salad

Ingrediants
1 package mixed greens, I like to use one that has spinach in it but you can use whatever letuce you like
1 can sliced olives
1 lb ground turkey
1 package taco seasoning
1/2 can of diced green chillies
2 tomatoes
grated cheddar cheese

Prepair turkey according to taco seasoning directions
add 1/2 can of diced green chilies and 1/2 can of sliced olives to the meat.
prepare salad, add sliced olives and tomatoes

I like to mix the salad separately so if there are leftovers they don't get soggy.

serve by dishing salad, then meat then cheese, top with salsa.

Yummy and filling.

Hey Whats for Dinner?

So since we live with Morgen's parents we have jobs to do instead of paying rent. One of my jobs is that I cook 3 nights a week. Its sometimes a challange to be able to come up with recipies that everyone will eat. Infact I would go as far as to say that there is at least one person every meal that doesn't like what I cooked. Its hard, Morgen's mom can't have a lot of salt, and thinks that Pepper is to hot of a spice, Morgen and I are allergic to fish, I don't eat read meat, and Morgen's brother's won't eat casarolle, don't even get me started on the fact that Garrick thinks Potatoes are of the devil. So when I do find a recipie that everyone likes it automaticlly becomes a favorite.
I'm one of those make up the recipie as you go along kind of people, so I didn't get this from anywhere, I made it up on the spot and It tasted wonderful!

Ingredients
1 large can low sodium chicken broth
1 can black beans (rinsed)
1/2 can of chopped green chilies
1 1/2 cups chopped onion (we freeze our onion so it is probably equal to about 1 LARGE onion)
1 1/2 cups of mixed chopped red, green and yellow peppers
2 large cans of peeled whole tomatoes (do not drain)
1 tablespoon crushed garlic
1 whole carrot chopped
2 celery stalks
1 cup squash (any kind)
8 teaspoons taco seasoning divided
4 chicken breasts
1 teaspoon olive oil

place 1 teaspoon olive oil in soup pot over medium high heat
Cut up chicken into small chunks
when oil starts to bubble add 4 teaspoons of taco seasoning to the oil.
mix till seasoning is fully mixed into oil
add chicken and brown.
add onions and garlic and brown,
Stir till all ingredients are mixed
Let simmer for 5 min
add peppers, carrot and celery
stir let simmer 5 min
add tomatoes black beans and green chilies
stir
let simmer 5 min.
add chicken broth, 4 teaspoons of taco seasoning.
Bring heat to low let simmer 20 min.

Serve over tortilla chips and garnish with cheese.

Enjoy!

I thought this dish might be to spicy for my MIL but even she liked it. I added some salsa to the soup when I ate it to spice it up a little.

I've uploaded this post to tip junkie, Take a look!

Project 365 day 14

I know finally!

This is from the other day, Tabitha was playing with some little puzzle toy she found in the toy box and she dropped it in the cube. She kept trying to get us to get it for her by wining and pointing, but we want her to be able to do these things on her own. finally she climbed inside head first and pulled it out, she got stuck coming out so we helped her, but when she got out she had this look on her face like she was so proud of herself.

project 365 day 18

Tabitha is so on the move these days! This is her playing in the drawers in the kitchen. I took a cute video of her, but our internet is being really slow and I can't upload it.

Project 365 day 17

Today after church Sara, Ricahard, Vivian and my dad came by, sara and rich are up for the weekend to see their friends so they stoped in to see us. Tabitha got to show them that she can stand p without holding on to anything and that was cool. After they left T and I went to take a nap, she slept for 3 hours! Then while Granny and Morgen were cooking dinner, Tabitha and I played in the kitchen. she's really into cabnits and drawers right now, so she got into the pots and pans and pulled out this pot and was having such a good time with it.
Lately she's decided that her Curious George that Aunt Shelby got her is her FAVORITE, so much so that if she drops it in the car she screams until I pull over and get it for her. She loves to sit there and "talk" to him. Tonight she was playing in the cabnit with the cookie cutters and she dragged george over and sat him in her lap and started to talk to him about the cookie cutters, she would pick one up and put it in his face, then she would do it again and again with different ones all the while talking away to him. She's growing up so fast, I'm so glad I get to stay home with her, or I would miss all these things. When I was gone for 2 1/2 hours on saturday I was so sad because I was missing whatever it was she was doing. When I came home she practiclly jumed out of her Granny's arms to get to me which made me feel wonderful, I hate leaving her, but when I come back she is so happy to see me that it makes having to be away from her totally worth it.

project 365 day 16

So on saturday, I got to go to my first craft the day away party for the new Meetup group I joined. IT was fu, although I felt a little aqward being by far the youngest person there, as some of the women were talking about their kids who were my age. But even though I was only there for 2 1/2 hours I got a lot accomplished. Once I put the finishing touches on I 'll take pictures and post what I got done. When I came home I came home to Morgen and his dad burning the Christmas tree. The first flame up was huge, I waited till after they got that out of their systems to bring T out, then we showed her her first bonfire. She kept pointing and clapping. She seemed to like it. After that I made dinner, we had breakfast for dinner and I used a bunch of tips I got from Good Eats with Alton Brown, and it definitely was Good Eats if I do say so myself! =)

project 365 day 15

day 14 coming soon, i cant find the cord for my phone to upload the picture.
I seem to get a lot of pictures of Tabitha sleeping, but she's just so darn cute, what can I say?

project 365 day 13

how stinkin cute is this!
Tabitha and her daddy sacked out on the bed. I went to take a shower and this is what I found when I came back. How cute!

project 365 day 12

So Tabitha has discovered the awesomeness that is kitchen cabinets, we've had to do a bunch of moving stuff around because someone, who's name means morning in German keeps saying he will put the cabinet locks on, well they've been sitting on the couch for a week, maybe this weekend, who knows. But Tabitha loves those cabinets. this is her favorite because it has all the water pitchers in it and they are all plastic so she can bang them around all she wants. she's in heaven.

project 365 day 11

Caution: She eats wrapping paper.
So for the last couple of days Tabitha's morning routine has been wake up, roll over, pull up to standing position bang on the head board for a little while then crawl over to the box at the end of the bed. Its a big box that my sewing machine case came in, and I keep it there, well because she likes the box and gets hours of ejnoyment from it. i put small soft toys, crumpled paper and other things she's interested inside the box for her to discover. She goes to it every morning and has a blast climbing it, pulling thigs out, putting things in etc. the other morning she found that there was still some wraping paper on it and she went to town on that stuff. she had so much fun with that paper, until i had to take it away because she was sucking on it. then I became bad mommy and she cried, so i nursed her and that fixed everything.

11:42

I know its lat, but I'm up, listening to morgen snore, loudly. I'm reading the blogs I like to follow, reading some news and finding some new funny articles. Sometimes Its nice to have some time to myself, even if it is at 11:42 with morgen snoring very loudly.

Project 365 day 10

Tabitha on Sunday, she's really starting to get a hang of walking. She uses the kitchen stools as a walker and pushes it to wherever she wants to go, then she grabs onto something else. She is really getting into opening and closing drawers and cupboards. She's growing up so fast right before my eyes I can hardly believe it.

Project 365 day 9

Woo hoo, got my computer back!
Ok now back to the photos!
This was tabitha at dinner, she is in am "I can do it all by myself" phase. She tries to feed herself everything, and gets kind of annoyed when we have to feed her.
She's getting better everyday at feeding herself. She especially loves cheese and crackers and apple juice.

Products I can't live without

So since I'm still computerless but I have the blog weitter app on my iPhone (there's an app for that) and I really want to keep up the habbit of writing daily i thought I would write a little post on the products I can't live without. Hopefully after I get my computer back I can add pictures to this.
So here goes my top 5 products I can't live without.
5. TiVo. So witha little one, a house full of people who don't want to watch what I'm watching and a power off from 12-6 rule it's hard to watch tv, but thanks to TiVo I can record what I want to watch and watch when I have time it's brilliant. I would never get to watch dr who or good eats if it wernt for TiVo.
4.my iPhone. Even though I had the service turned off because AT&T sucks I still love this thing. I basically use it as an iPod now, but I do plan on jailbreaking it and taking it to t-mobile. I can get a data only plan and use skype from my phone for all my calls how great is that?! Seriously there are so many useful apps on this thing it's become a very important part of my daily life.
3. My petunia picklebottom boxy backpack. I love this bag. I have sparrows one from last year and it's the best bag ever! I cab fit everything I need in it. The outside is washable you just wipe it up. It has a detachable changeing pad and it's super cute. I love this bag.
2. My MacBook. I love my MacBook this is my second one and it's the easiest computer to use and it's got everything I need. Plus I can watch netflix on demand on it so I have movies Internet email and anything else I need right there.
1. My organic dark chocolate brown ErgoBaby carrier. Seriously the best product ever invented for moms. Tabitha loves to be held, but my arms get
Tired after a while and when she falls asleep she gets heavy, that's why the Ergo is so freaking great. I can wear her on my front or back and get everything I nee to get done accomplished. Plus when She was smaller I could wear her and nurse her at the same time so no matter where we were I could nurse her and still do what I needed to do. Seriously I can't recomend the product more highly. So much better than any other carrier out there.

So there you have my top five. What are yours?

No computer= no blog= no bueno

Well since my laptop is in the shop I haven't been able to update my project 365. I've got the pics just no way of uploading them right now. So when I do get my computer back expect a ton of posts in one day.

Project 365 day 8

So I took Tabitha to Champions academy today for a play date. IT was ok, I liked the facility, and Tabitha seemed to enjoy herself, but I so hate it when you go somewhere and parents are to concerned with chit chating to pay attention to their kids. There was some boy id didn't recognize who kept running up to Tabitha and yelling in her face, I told him to stop like 5 times and His mom was to busy talking to someone to do anything about it. Then this girl from our playgroup decided she wanted to go on the smallest balance beam in the the room the babies were in (even though she was big enough for the others) even though Tabitha was playing on it. I didn't say anything because I figured they could each play on different ends, but instead she walked over to Tabitha and tried to kick her in the head, if i hadn't moved Tabitha so quickly she would have been kicked in the face by this girl, and her dad wasn't even in the room he was in the other room talking to parents! I was so frustrated by all this, that I decided it was time to leave early. As we were getting ready to go, someone had to go tell another woman her kid was leaving out the front door, because she was so busy talking she didn't even realize he had left.
I know some people accuse me of being a helicopter parent, but you know what I would rather be a hoverer and know what my kid is doing that a hands off parent who's kid is a holy terror!
One good thing that happened was that Tabitha had a fun time practicing walking, they had parallel bars with a mat under them that was tall enough for Tabitha to hold onto while walking, and she really seemed to like that and crawling over the balance beam.
Other than that Tabitha is teething again so nap time really didn't happen until she was in the car at 5:45 going to pick up daddy. She passed out when i brought her up for bed, but that wasn't till 11:30. Hopefully she'll be able to catch up on her sleep tomorrow. The play date was right in the middle of nap time today so she was all screwed up.

can't sleep

i can't sleep. Morgen is snoreing, and I'm wide awake. I've been thinking about projects I want to start. But I need like 2 hours all to myself so that I can clean up my sewing area. Its a big ol mess after christmas. I really want to re organize my fabric and organize my thread and ribbon. Plus I need to put together my new dress form that my mom got me for christmas. (So freaking excited about that one!)
I used my Jo-ann's gift card to buy some fabric and a patern to actually make me a dress. I have like nothing to wear for church because i'm nursing and none of my dresses acomidate that. So I found a pattern that is a dress with a little jacket, the dress has thin straps so i'm going to edit the pattern and put snaps on the straps (wow say that 10 times fast) so that i can unhook when I need to nurse! I bought this really pretty dark purple fabric, Its just plain but I like it. I'm not a busy person. I'm looking for some nice understated trim i might put on the skirt. I also got the pattern ($2.99!), some maroon velvet for a dress for Tabitha (in the remnant bin for $2.99), and some cute I <3 mommy, I <3 daddy fabric on the clearance rack, it was $2 a yard plus I got a discount because it was the end of the bolt and I took the extra 6 inches. Not sure what I'll do with it, I'm thinking of binki clips and onesie apliques for the store. I also have this dress that I made a bunch of for Tabitha, and I made one for Susan and Seans soon to be little girl too, I think I might use some of this material on one of those dresses for my etsy store. I've been super slaking on that, and my goal is to get it up and functional by the end of the month. I have so many ideas of stuff I want to put in the store but I just never have the time to do it. So i'm going to try to make the time. We'll see how that goes.
I have tons of projects that I need to do for my store, I have the materials for at least 15 tutus that I haven't even started, plus I have been planing to make about 20 different hairbows that I have the ideas floating around my head but havent done them yet. I also have 20 binky clips that I need to finish, and I have 4 dresses I want to do. I also have 2 marble dyed shirts, and 3 marble dyed onesies all finished I just need to put them on the store. I think my goal for this week will be to get pictures taken of everything thats ready for the store and get them online by Sunday.
Ok, well I'm going to try to go to bed now since its almost 2 am and I have to be up at 8. yuck I hate this new schedual, I loved being able to sleep in till whenever Tabitha wanted to wake up (usually around 9:30 am) uggg

Nine Months... Wow!

Well Tabitha has been out as long as she was in (ba dum ching)!
I still can't get over how much she has changed in such a short period of time. She took her first step on December 30th at my mom's house, It was awesome that my mom got to see it, since she lives so far away she misses a lot of tabitha's firsts
Tabitha's nine month birthday was pretty chill, she and I spent the day playing with her new toys she got for christmas. And when Morgen came home it was time for daddy jungle gym.

Its seems like only yesterday she was this small:
Time sure flies, I'm already planing her 1st birthday party! wow, I'm so going to miss this time. I really don't understand when I hear other moms wanting to rush through this stage and get on to the walking and talking. I miss my little lump. =)

Project 365 day 7

Today was not a good day, however this made me smile. Tabitha loves bath time and I thought her curly phohawk was super funny. Also that is my hair in her hand, she is yanking pretty hard to help balance herself, as she refused to sit in the bath tonight.

Project 365 day 6

this is the new pose. Tabitha likes to stand up with one arm out in a little point/waive lately. she's getting better at waiving these days, its pretty cute.
Today was her 9 month birthday, I'll do a separate post tomorrow about that. She's getting so big.

project 365 day 5

Tabitha's first bloody lip.
Tabtitha was playing with some board games in the ottoman and morgen decided she was putting to much in her mouth. He thought she was holding onto the ottoman, it turns out she was holding onto the game for dear life, when he tried to take it away from her it hit her in the face and she got a bloody lip, we didn't realize she was bleeding till she spit blood on me. But I calmed her down then gave her a cold paper towel to chew on and she was happy as a clam, probably because I was actually letting her chew on paper for once and thats her favorite.

Project 365 day 4

This pony almost got put down!
This is Tabitha's new pony Liberty, Her Nana and Avo gave it to her for Christmas, she really likes to ride it. I decided it can't be that hard to put together I'll do it while Morgen is at work no problem. Yea... big problem. I got it all done till I tried to attach all the rubber band springs. Seriously I thought I was going to pull my arm out of the socket in order to get the stupid things on. I finally had to wait for morgen and he pulled while i attached. This pony will never be taken apart it will be moved like this and stored like this forever. Because I will never put this thing back together.

project 365 day 3

The Great waffle thief!
So we woke up on sunday at Sara and Richards house and we went to the Farmers Market before we got on the road home. we grabbed breakfast there, and Tabitha and I shared pancakes. Well apparently that wasn't enough because she also ate some of viv's waffle. before we left Viv had only eaten one triangle so i took one of them for Tabitha on the road. She was asleep when i put her in her car seat, and I put it in her cup holder for when she woke up. Well apparently she woke up before morgen did and he woke up to this, she had taken the waffle out of the cup holder and was ripping it to shreds with her two teeth! The ride home was pretty good, we made it home before 8:30 and we didn't leave LA till noon, I think thats pretty good with an almost 9 month old.

Project 365 day 2

At a rest stop/ gas station somewhere between phoenix and the CA border. We stopped for lunch and gas, and Tabitha as always took morgen's hat. That girl just loves to take morgen's hats and my keays (as you can see she has them in her hand)

Project 365 day 1

This is Tabitha on New Years day, So tired from the night before, infact she wouldn't take a nap at my aunts house and stayed up till midnight, then as soon as we put her in the car she was asleep, she stayed asleep when i took her out of the car seat and took her to bed, she slept until almost noon the next day.

Resolutions or some such nonsence

So I never make resolutions, why? because I can never keep them. This year, I decided, well just one resolution, i can do that. umm yeah. My resolution was to do project 365, I take a picture everyday and i have to write about it on my blog. As you can see its January 7th and this is the first time i've posted this year. So as you can see I suck at keeping resolutions. I have however taken pictures every day. so I guess I'll post my first 6 day's worth of pictures and then try to do the 1 a day thing.
