Summer Blog Challenge 26-31

So I'm pretty behind on my summer blog challenge posts, I've just been swamped lately so i'm gonna try to bang out all my over due ones in one post tonight! Ready?

Day 26  What does your significant other do that makes your heart melt?
Before having kids, I probably would have said that it was how Morgen is always doing little things, like slipping a love note on my front seat or picking a flower on his way home. He still does those things and I still love those things, but whats more heart melt worthy is how amazing he is with the girls. When Tabitha wants to play tea party, or dress up he is right there doing what she wants, but he is also amazing at teaching our girls the right thing to do . I love when he come home at night and Tabitha yells "Daddy! Your back!" and runs and gives him a hug and the first thing he does is cover her in hugs and kisses. Melts my heart every time.

Day 27 What's the best gift you've ever received?
The best gift I ever received? My two beautiful girls! Without a doubt. We waited so long for them, and I couldn't have imagined any more amazing girls.
Tabitha and her HUGE cheeks!

Eva ever the cuddlier baby!

My two sweet girls

Day 28 How do you do your laundry?? Give your laundry tricks.

We make our own laundry soap (Via Tipnut)

1 quart Water (boiling)
2 cups Bar soap (grated)
2 cups Borax
2 cups Washing Soda
  • Add finely grated bar soap to the boiling water and stir until soap is melted. You can keep on low heat until melted.
  • Pour the soapy water mixture into a large, clean pail and add the Borax and Washing Soda. Stir well until all is dissolved.
  • Add 2 gallons of water, stir until well mixed.
  • Cover pail and use 1/4 cup for each load of laundry. Stir the soap each time you use it (will gel).
I use this for everyday laundry and wash on cold with an extra rinse then dry in the dryer. I also throw in a scoop of sun oxyclean.
For Cloth Diapers I use Rockin Green. I do a cold rinse with no detergent. A hot wash with two scoops of hard rock detergent and every 3 loads I do a scoop of calgon because we have really hard water. Then I do two rinse cycles, one hot and one cold. Then I line dry my diapers and throw the inserts and wipes in the dryer.

Day 29 Write a "How To" post
I'm working on this one and will post it soon.

Day 30 Post a photo of an outfit that either is your style or you wish was your style.
These are the kinds of dresses I love, and I actually have a few this style but they are kind of hard to nurse in so I don't wear them often.

More often than not, I wear a skirt with a camisole and a cardigan.

Day 31 Talk about something eco friendly that you already do.

Some of the Ecofriendly things we already do are:

  • Cloth Diapering
  • Recycling
  • Buying used clothes and toys rather than new
  • Walk as much as we can rather than drive
  • repurpose whatever we can. Usually clothes.

Summer blog Challenge day 11

Best day of your life.
Its hard for me to choose just one day, so I won't. Instead I will choose 3.
This is from our wedding day. November 15th 2003. We were married in the Oakland LDS Temple.

April 6, 2009. Tabitha's birthday. Her birth was not good, but that didn't matter. She was all we had wanted for so long that even though her birth wasn't the best experience, just having her with us finally was the best feeling in the world. A part of me was missing until I had her.

January 26, 2012. Evangeline's birth. Her birth was calm, and I got to hold her fairly soon after. I recovered much faster with Eva than Tabitha and her birth while not what I had pictured at first was perfect, we were both healthy and happy. I wouldn't change it for the world. Eva was a piece of me I didn't know was missing and my life wouldn't be complete without her.

Nine Months... Wow!

Well Tabitha has been out as long as she was in (ba dum ching)!
I still can't get over how much she has changed in such a short period of time. She took her first step on December 30th at my mom's house, It was awesome that my mom got to see it, since she lives so far away she misses a lot of tabitha's firsts
Tabitha's nine month birthday was pretty chill, she and I spent the day playing with her new toys she got for christmas. And when Morgen came home it was time for daddy jungle gym.

Its seems like only yesterday she was this small:
Time sure flies, I'm already planing her 1st birthday party! wow, I'm so going to miss this time. I really don't understand when I hear other moms wanting to rush through this stage and get on to the walking and talking. I miss my little lump. =)

Tabitha"s first cristmas!

Tabitha had a pretty good first christmas. On Christmas eve we went to the Chipman's for Chipman's corner. It was a lot of fun and tabitha had fun playing with melonie chipman.

we read the christmas story and opened christmas eve pj's her's were from her Avo Bob, and she looked so cute in them.
The next morning we woke up (at 9am!) and went down to eat breakfast.

then we opened her stocking. She got a ball that i made her, a fresh food eater (basicly a mesh bag on a binky ring so she can eat food without choking on it. ) new binky clips i mad her, and two new binkies. she also got a new hefelump. in the pic it doesn't really look like she cares all that much but she did love it.

Then we opend all her other presents which she seemed to like. My favorite was her new car seat that her granny and grandpa walt got for her. We're so excited about that one!
Tabitha on the other had does not look so excited. but we put it in the car today and she likes the cup holders. she made a mess with jo's o's today and I picked them up and put them in the cup holder and she loved that. she just sat there eating out of the cup holder for a good 10 min.
on another note, morgen got me a sewing machine bag and some more drawers for my fabric and a small set of drawers that goes on my desk to hold my thread. i was really excited about that one. and morgen's parents got me a gift card to jo-ann fabrics i'm so excited i get to go there and buy something for myself! also they got us a gift card to olive garden and a movie and are going to babysit for us so we can go on a date! thats super exciting!

Today was not such a good day unfortunately. I had back spazums all night so i was super tired and tabitha had a hard night because she got scared when i was in pain and she wanted me to hold her but i couldn't so she cryed for over an hour. when i was finally able to get up and cuddle with her she went right to sleep. but today was a crabby day for her. We went and got our errands done, she was still upset that i couldnet carry her since my back still hurt, but we managed. We got my oil changed, went to old navy and got some jeans ($15!) and went to costco to get my eyes checked. then we came home and took a nap (it was already 5pm by this time). Then she ate dinner played while we packed and went to bed. Morgen is still packing and we'll be leaving tomorrow after sacrament meeting. Can't wait to spend a week with my family!

My Husband Rocks!

My Husband Rocks! Today he made dinner for me (it was my turn but i went to enrichment), Did some laundry for me and finished my new banner for my blog! He's just so awesome!
In Christmas news, I finally got everything i need to make presents and i now have a ton of sewing to do in the next few weeks. Tomorrow we need to finish our christmas cards so i can get them out before saturday. We also need to take pictures of our stroller and post it for sale on Craigslist, so if anyone is interested in a basicly new Mia Moda Atmousferra stroller We're selling ours for $300, we paid over $400 with shipping. ITs just not what we need, and some friends are going to sell us thier uppa baby vista since they just had another baby and are getting a double stroller.
Still no news on BYU for morgen, DeAnza is taking forever to send his transcripts to BYU, they have had all his other transcripts for a while, but DeAnza is taking thier sweet time. Its looking more and more likely that he will have to switch is application to the spring instead of winter.
I'm almost finished with this semseter at gav, I have a few more weeks left of my worthless art class. Seriously i didn't learn anything in this class except that the teacher thinks that the only artists are photographers, and that she doesn't care if you have a learning disablity, if you spell a word wrong she will yell at you, (as in use all caps and tell you to fix your spelling, its an online class so using all caps and a bunch of exclimation points is equal to yelling, i think she needs to take a class in netiqite). My film class ended 2 weeks early and i thouhgt i wasn't doing well, although the teacher gives no feedback when you turn in stuff, but when i went to turn in the DVD with my film, he said i did a great job on my other projects. So cool!
I'm trying to figure out what classes i'm gonna take next semester. It depends on where morgen goes to school, if he goes to west valley, i'm going to take some photography and a sewing class, if he goes to Gav i'm goning to take some child development and health education classes.

I'm looking forward to Tabitha's first christmas, its going to be so much fun! We're going to see santa on saturday so we'll see how that goes. I'll post pics if she doesn't cry. I hate those pictures of children crying on Santa's lap, i don't know why people find them funny?
We went and got our chirstmas tree the other day and it was so much fun.
Usually it takes hours to find the right tree, and this time, we drove in asked the guy where we might find an 18 foot tree (yes 18 feet) and he directed us to the back of the cut your own lot. We went on a one lane road to the back of the property and about 5 min after we got out they had found our tree and everyone agreed it was the one. its so pretty. we even got a spice angel to hang up in the kitchen while we were there.
These are pictures from lunch, we went to a Chines place after getting the tress, and tabitha had cheerios. she is getting really good at feeding herself.

Tabitha is doing so good, i swear every day she's learing something new!
She is so sweet and she giggles all the time now. Here is a super cute video of her on the swings the other day.

Good Night all!

She's here!

Our little angel Tabitha Ruth Peschke was born on April 6 at 7:20 pm. the short story is that, my water broke on sunday night around 9pm, we called l&D and they said to take a shower and get something to eat then come in, so we got there around 11:30, after a few tests they decided that yes in fact my water did break, (funny that the clear goopy stuff draining out of me didn't clue them in they had look at it under a microscope). They said they were going to wait and see if my contractions got stronger because they were all over the place and i could barely feel them. so by the next morning at 9 am still nothing so they gave me pitocin. that stuff sucks, if its ever offered to you and you don't need it don't take it. after being in horribly painful labor from 9am to 4pm (with no food by the way, i was starving) i was still only dilated to 4. they finally talked me into an epidural, which i really had been against. at 6 they said if i wasn't dilated to 5 in an hour they were going to need to do a c section because they needed to get her out by 24 hrs after my water broke. an hour later and i was still at 4, they still couldn't feel the baby's head and i was exhausted. they upped my epidural gave me a bunch of other drugs for the pain and wheeled me in to the or. Tabitha was born at 7:20pm and Morgen went with her to the nursery as they stitched me up. after being in recovery for 1 1/2 hrs they finally brought me Tabitha (after an hour of me asking, "when can i see m y baby, when is my baby coming?", and apparently Morgen was doing the same thing in the nursery asking "when can we take her to Teresa, she needs to see her mommy")
they brought her in and we tried to breast feed and it worked a little. they took us to our room and we worked on some more breast feeding and basically spent the night getting to know each other. we spent the next 2 1/2 days in the hospital and came home on Thursday after noon. we have so much more to share but no time right now. for now enjoy some pictures.
i'll leave you with some pictures and video of our miracle!
