Mothers Day Cloth Diaper hop Sponsor Spotlight: Rockin' Green!

From May 1-12, 2012 I'll be participating in the Daily Mothering Mothers day blog hop. Daily Mothering will be having a huge grand prize package of Awesome cloth diapers and other great things!

As the giveaway gets closer I'll have more information about the grand prize. There are 100 different blogs participating! So many awesome possibilities to win cloth diapers!

From the moment I signed up for this hop, I knew the first company I would contact would be Rockin' Green. I already use their amazing detergent and ammonia bouncer, so I knew they would be a perfect sponsor for this hop. I'm So excited that Rockin' Green has generously offered to give the winner of my prize pack a bag of Rockin' green in their scent of choice!

While I had already tried and LOVED their hard rock formula in Bare Naked Babies (unscented), I was eager to try their wonderful scents too. Rockin' Green was awesome and sent me three sample packs so I could try different scents. I tired Earth, Wind and Orchids, Smashing Watermelons and Lavender Mint Revival. By the by, I freaking LOVE the awesome names for their detergent.

I had tried a few kinds of cloth diaper detergent before I came upon Rockin' Green. I hated them all. I could never get my diapers clean enough and they all caused horrible rashes on Tabitha. A few friends told me to try Rockin' Green and I ordered a bag. Oh My Gosh! I saw such an amazing improvement! I did a Rock a Soak on all our prefolds and saw a big improvement. I went to our local cloth diaper friendly store Mommy and Me and bought some Funk Rock Amonia bouncher too. After using that, and doing another Rock a Soak I couldn't smell anything on Tabitha's diapers. It was wonderful!

Now I exclusively use Rockin' Green when I wash my diapers. I do a prewash with a scoop of Funk Rock, and a hot wash cold rinse with Rockin' Green then a cycle with nothing to rinse them clean. My diapers look and smell amazing! Not a single one smells funky, no dinginess, just awesome clean fluffy goodness!

Rockin Green is an award wining maker of eco-friendly clean rinsing detergent that is wonderful for cloth diapers, but also good for all your laundry needs. They make three formulas of Rockin Green, Hard Rock (for hard water), Soft Rock (for soft water), and Classic Rock (for normal water). Rockin Green also makes Funk Rock, a first of its kind natural ammonia bouncer, and Melody an oder neutralizer and air freshener home spray. With the exception of Funk Rock and Soft Rock (which only comes in Bare Naked Babies), all products come in seven natural scents, such as Mighty Mighty Marshmallow, Earth, Wind & Orchids, Rage Against the Raspberry, Smashing Watermelons, Motley clean, Lavender Mint Revival, and Bare Naked Babies (unscented).

Rockin’ Green was founded in 2009 by Kim Webb, an avid cloth diapering mom who desired a better way to clean cloth diapers and treat her kid’s sensitive skin.

The awesome thing about the scents, especially if you have sensitive skin is that the scents rinse out. The scents are amazing. I seriously get all excited when I open the bag for the first time. I love the three scents I was able to try out, but my favorite is definitely Lavender Mint Revival, followed closely by Earth, Wind and Orchids.

Rockin Green also makes Femme Rock for mama cloth and Dog house Rock for cleaning dog beds and toys.

Rockin Green just won the readers choice best laundry detergent from about.com, which if you've ever used Rockin' Green it comes as no surprise!

To buy Rockin' Green: At $14.95 a bag for classic or soft rock and $15.95 a bag for hard rock, its relatively inexpensive. If you have a HE washer you get 90 loads from one bag, if you have a regular top loader like me you get about 45 loads. I wash every day and buy a bag about every other month. The scents are amazing. My diapers come out looking and smelling clean every time. Tabitha who has really sensitive skin (another of my many allergies she seems to have gotten) doesn't have any problems with Rockin' Green like she did with the other detergents we tried.

Not to buy Rockin' Green: I know in today's economy every penny counts. $15.95 may be a little much for some people to swing, we wash daily because I just can't handle the smell after the diapers have been in the wet bag for two days, but if you wash a load every other day you could stretch out having to buy a bag every two months, and if your lucky enough to have an HE washer you get 90 loads out of a bag. If you wash every day thats only $15.95 every three months.

My recomendation: Go to Rockin' Green's website and order a few of the sample packs. 1 sample pack will do 4 loads in a HE washer or 2 in a regular one. a sample bag is $0.85 and you could order a few different scents to see what you like and to see how it works for you. The fact that you can order sample packs is one of the many reasons I love Rockin' Green. Had I been able to buy sample packs of the other detergents I used, I wouldn't be out all the money and have boxes or tubs of detergent I can't use.

To WIN Rockin' Green: One lucky Crafting in My Closet reader is going to win the awesome cloth diaper prize pack I'll be giving away on Mothers Day. That prize pack is valued at $103 and includes 1 bag of Rockin' Green in your choice of formula and scent.

Remember to come back on May 1st to enter to win, and I will be posting more about the prizes and sponsors in the days to come!http://rockingreensoap.com/http://rockingreensoap.com/

Wow this sounds great! I don't cloth diaper but I saw where you said it can be used for regular laundry needs. You are right, those names are fun! I love the sound of Lavender Mint.

Rockin green is great stuff. We have a giant wetbag (Fuzzibunz) in our diaper pail, I rinse out DangerMouse's EBF poop into the toilet, so we don't need to soak first.

We specifically bought our HE machine(6 years ago) so we could cloth diaper when we had our kids. So easy!
