Do you want a budget friendly, family vacation this year? I know with so many people trying to save money, a lot of you are probably considering stay-cations this year. But have you thought about time share rentals? I know I never did. I didn't even know it was a thing until recently. My parents own a time share, although I've never used it, my sisters have. I don't really know all that much about my parents time share except they have one and they are able to trade their weeks for hotel accommodations at different places. A few years ago we stayed with my parents at a hotel in South Lake Tahoe that my mom was able to trade her timeshare week for. But what happens when the time share owner can't use their weeks?
That's where timeshare rentals like RedWeek.com come in. I had no idea timeshare rentals even existed, let alone that they were such an affordable option! The average timeshare rental is up to 50% less than hotel rooms and just think of all the amenities. Timeshares have their own kitchen which saves money on all our meals since you don't have to eat at a restaurant for every meal. think about it, how much of a hassle is it to wake up early and get everyone ready so you can rush down to the hotel restaurant so that everyone can eat breakfast. Or when you finally get there and see that its buffet style and everything is soggy. yuck! But with a timeshare rental, you can wake up when you want. You make your schedule. You have a full size fully stocked kitchen waiting for you, and you choose when and what to eat.
You can also do your own laundry in some so you can bring less and save money on baggage. Instead of being crammed into a small hotel room with your whole family, you can rent a timeshare and have separate bedrooms, plus you still get the luxury of someone else cleaning up for you as the timeshares have maid service. I know one thing that has kept Morgen and I from taking the girls on vacation is Tabitha's schedual. I really can't think of how it would work. She goes to bed at 7pm every night. So if we were all crammed into a small hotel room we would all have to go to bed at 7pm. That just won't work in our situation. But with a Timeshare rental we could rent a place with two or more bedrooms and put her to bed at 7 and enjoy not having to be in bed and quiet at 7 because we were sharing a room like we would in a hotel.
What about swimming and other amenaties. Lately I've seen a shift in hotels where all amenities are extra, while they may have a pool you probably have to pay extra for it, you have to pay extra to park your car, use the internet, let your kids play on a playground. But with timeshare rentals, many of the resorts amenities are included in the price. Many resorts have swimming pools, hot tubs, playgrounds for the kids, some have tennis courts, game rooms, miniature golf and volleyball. Depending on where you stay you could have beach access, go mountain biking, skiing, or theme parks all right there.
On RedWeek.com you can search for timeshares by area, you can look for kid friendly or pet friendly resorts, there are tons of different options. I saw a few that I would love to rent, including a week in Tahoe Vista for only $80 a night. Thats really good, as I looked at that same resort online and saw that the same week would be $120 a night to rent through them. Thats a big difference!
