Today I am super excited to be giving you a chance to win an Ergobaby Performance Carrier and an Ergobaby Organic cotton backpack! The Awesome folks over at Ergo sent us a Performance Carrier and backpack to try out and My husband and I are super impressed!

Since we now have 2 kids to lug around, Morgen has been saying we need a second Ergobaby and another diaper bag. Tabitha is potty trained so we don't have to carry diapers for her, but we do have to carry her fold up potty seat, wipes, and a change of clothes for her everywhere we go as well as a wet bag to put her stuff in incase she has an accident. We also have to carry Tabitha's sunscreen and first aid kit everywhere because of her skin allergies she can't use bandaids and she can't use regular sunscreen. Not to mention snacks and water and whatever we want to bring with us. Then there is Evangeline who is in cloth diapers. I love cloth diapers but they take up a ton of room in the diaper bag, and you have to carry cloth wipes, a squirt bottle with wipes solution, I also always have my bottle of CJ's BUTTer spray, a wet bag, a change of clothes, and usually a muslin blanket. As she's getting older I also tend to have a toy to keep her occupied in there as well. Then there is my stuff, a water bottle, my wallet and keys, chap stick and sunscreen, and my keys. I know I can't fit that all in my current diaper bag, and what I can fit makes it so heavy that I always make morgen carry it. Which I feel kind of bad about since its a Petunia Picklebottom and kind of girly. So when when we got the Ergobaby Backpack I was surprised at how much could fit in it. I was also surprized at how comfortable it was to wear. Morgen was stoked because it meant we could split up the girls stuff and each take a backpack instead of him shleping it around.

Some of the features of the Ergobaby backpack that I love, Its got a hidden compartment I guess you would call it. On the back you can unvelcro the back and hide the straps of the back pack and pull out the velcro loops and attach them to the straps of the Ergo baby so you aren't wearing two sets of straps. You can reach the side pockets while wearing it. The only thing Morgen didn't like is that it was hard to unhook the backpack from the Ergo straps by himself.
With the Ergo on Morgen can wear Eva while helping Tabitha with her shoes.
Now for the Performance carrier. I love this carrier. We have an Organic ErgoBaby that we got when we had Tabitha, and while I love my Organic Ergobaby, it gets really hot sometimes. Between my body heat, Eva's body heat and the weather, it gets pretty darn hot. With the Performance Ergobaby carrier, the lining is mesh so its much more breathable. I ws wearing Eva the other day while Tabitha was throwing rocks in the stream behind our house and usually I get really hot doing that, but It wasn't hot at all. The Performance Ergobaby is made of Durable, high-performance Ripstop water-repellant polyester outer layer, the lining is made of 100% cotton in a moisture wicking knit; mesh lining for extra wicking (Blue and Charcoal) for increased breathability and moisture wicking; Cotton lining (Green and Gray). The shoulder straps are Padded with 1” high-density premium foam, expanding from 27” - 49”. I LOVE the waist strap on the performance, it doesn't make me feel fat. I'm still working on getting rid of baby fat around my belly and while my Organic fits, there isn't much wiggle room, the performance has so much more room so I feel like I really get a tight fit because I have more of a belt to pull. The belt is Padded with 1/4” high-density EVA foam, expanding from 23.6” - 51.18” / 60cm - 130cm, an additional 5.9” / 15cm over the Ergobaby Original Carrier. Another feature that I LOVE on this is that the chest strap has a sliding adjustment. When I first used it i didn't realize this and was a little uncomfortable with how high the chest strap was, but once I realized how it moves I was able to put it in a place that was super comfortable. I know I got this one for Morgen, but I may end up using it more, Its way comfortable.
Eva sleeps really well in the Performance carrier.

Some standard features of the Ergobaby Carriers include; balanced weight distribution, the weight of your baby is evenly distributed between your shoulders and hips for ultimate comfort, its ergonomic, it seats the baby properly in the facing in spread squat seating position which supports baby's hip, pelvis and spinal position. The International Hip Dysplasia Institute issued a statement that recommends carriers that support the natural seated position like the Ergobaby to promote healthy hip development.
The Performance Carrier fits adults between 5' and 6'5 depending on body type. I'm 5'1 and kinda round, Morgen is 6' and skinny. The Performance carrier fits both of us great. The Performance can carry children from 7 lbs with and infant insert up to 45 lbs. I usually carry Eva in a front carry, but now that we have two Tabitha has been insisting on daddy carrying her in a back carry everywhere we go. I am in LOVE with the Ergobaby Performance carrier.
This is a great gift for dads for Fathers day. Morgen loves wearing the girls. He really feels that wearing the girls helps him bond with them.

You can buy a Performance Carrier from Ergobaby at http://store.ergobaby.com

Or you can win one here!
Good Luck!

Really curious about just how much cooler than a regular Ergo it is! :)

This so much more convenient than a stroller, especially in the airport or congested event, plus M much prefers being carried! This is one of the purchases you can't afford not to make. We LOVE it. Getting one for free would be even better!!!!

I like that it aligns the hips. So many other really popular carriers don't do this and it's bad for baby and they are usually uncomfortable for whomever is wearing it!

Would really love this carrier as it is lightweight!

The Ergo carrier supports natural seat placement. I don't think my Bjorn does. I definitely want one! ;)

I like that it can be used for a newborn. I also like that it just looks so sturdy. I like to wear my daughter (she IS a really cute accessory :) ), but many of the carriers I've tried on don't support her very well.

I love that it's so versatile that a mom and a dad can wear it, instead of having to buy two different carriers to fit each one. :)

I love the design. The padded straps would be so comfortable and a zippered pocket is really convenient.

I like that the Performance Ergo lets lots of air flow through. My baby gets so hot in the carrier, I always walk around blowing on his head to keep him cool. This would save me a lot of breath!

The feature I love best is how light and cool this carrier is. It gets HOT here in the summer and I love that the inner lightweight fabric will keep me and babe from getting too hot.
Thanks so much
